The delegation visits a farm with a focus on pomelo and durian. The biggest problem is cutting the grass between the fruit trees as well as targeted and efficient fertilization and plant protection.

Opportunities for gravel extraction have been identified under rubber areas. Rubber remains for commercial use and to reduce dust dispersion.

Pepper cultivation. Pepper grows on stakes or trees up to 7 meters high. Rubber trees are used here to support the vines.

Cattle fattening with 1,000 cattle of the Brahman, Angus and Chevrolet breeds. Growing their own fodder is no longer profitable and is therefore bought in. In order to reduce costs, up to 70% of residues from dragon fruit and durian processing are fed to the cattle.

A goat farm with 500 goats. A total of 2,000 goats are kept on 10 sites. Main ingredient of the feed: Napier grass.

A pepper panicle with green pepper berries. These are harvested by hand and then dried in the sun for 2 days.

Mixed cultivation of cocoa, banana and pomelo. The diversified income increases income security and reduces the burden on the soil and ecosystem.

A whipped cocoa fruit. Unprocessed, the individual beans are not edible, only the white pulp tastes sweet and is edible.

Rice cultivation in conversion to organic certification. The plants are kept in a moist environment throughout their growth, and up to two maize harvests per year are collected in addition to the rice harvest.

Rice is grown on small plots and yields 6 to 9 tons per hectare, depending on the season.
